Fender Custom Shop ’68 Jazz Bass Journeyman Relic MORE ABOUT ’68 J BASS® JOURNEYMAN RELIC® A rare find for this year, the ’68 Jazz Bass® Journeyman Relic® has some stunning features that made this bass a favorite for players and pros. Of particular interest and importance is a rarely found design combination from that year: a maple fingerboard with black block inlays. The two-piece select alder body has a comfortably worn Journeyman Relic lacquer finish, and the quartersawn maple neck features a ’60s-style “Jazz Bass U” profile, vintage 7.25”-radius quartersawn maple fingerboard and 20 medium jumbo (6150) frets. Custom Shop hand-wound vintage Jazz Bass pickups yield compelling and dynamic tones with the classic three-knob Jazz Bass control configuration (middle pickup volume, bridge pickup volume, master tone). Other features include a four-ply brown shell pickguard, four-saddle vintage-style bridge, vintage-style tuning machines and a bone nut. Also includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
